
Equality plan
Gender equality implies that both women and men are treated equally in all areas of society, including the workplace. For this reason, since 2020 Sima has had an Equality Plan that is in continuous evolution and that guarantees equal treatment and opportunities between men and women.
To develop this equality plan, we created an Equality Commission formed on a parity basis with representatives in different work and family situations to integrate different perspectives.
In the following section we summarize the main objectives and measures of our equality plan.


Equality training
- Continuous training enriches people’s abilities and skills and influences the way we behave in society. At Sima we attach great importance to education, so we always carry out initial training actions based on equality and include equality modules in the monthly sessions.

Access to employment
- Our goal is to achieve an equal representation between women and men in the different professional groups, to achieve this we have a human resources team fully committed to equality that updates and develops fair and egalitarian selection processes.

Career development, promotion and training
- Internal promotion has been in Sima’s DNA since we started more than 25 years ago. We are committed to encourage and promote internal promotion in a fair and honest way.

Protection against sexual harassment on the basis of sex
- In addition to informing, training and raising awareness throughout the organization about sexual harassment and harassment based on sex, we are committed to developing a protocol for action in the event of this type of situation.

Inclusive communication and non-sexist language
- Inclusive and non-sexist language is one of the tools to advance real equality between men and women. At Sima we have adapted our way of communicating internally and externally to ensure that equality criteria are always respected.

Personal, family and work life balance
- At Sima we offer measures that allow reconciling personal, family and work life and we guarantee that the enjoyment of these measures will not affect professional development opportunities.

Transversality
- We are committed to making the gender perspective known and integrated throughout the organization and in all the activities we carry out.
